I received my copy of Hyena early in the week here in the US via pre-ordered from Metal Blade. Though Hyena may have a somewhat better sound quality than previous Cripper releases, it is still very much Cripper! Still very raw and very metal. The band has its own style of thrash metal. I am very much a member of the age group that remembers when thrash first began back in the early 80's. Cripper have a sound and style that reminds me of that era but they still have their own touch along with a modern recording techniques. Britta's voice is powerful and steady, the musicianship is tasteful and effective. Deep lyrics, great guitar, drums and bass performances all combined with good songs makes Cripper one of my very favorite bands. Plus, Cripper's album cover, like their previous covers, is very unique and thought provoking. Nothing generic or stereotypical. Hyena is one of the best CD purchases I have made all year. Hopefully, they can hit the US in 2015 so I that I might like catch them live. Hail, Brant
